“”Di bale nang mauna kayong magbalita (referring to other stations), basta ang uunahin namin ay ang tumulong sa kapuwa. (You can go ahead and report; with us, we willprioritize helping others).”
It has been two years since a new flavor of Public Service came to life. I could still remember the eve of January 1, 2010 when Kuya Daniel Razon has rolled out the “Rescue First, Report Later” (Tulong Muna Bago Balita) endeavor of UNTV.
There were several newsmen trained in conducting first aid that are deployed on streets then to rescue firecracker, stray bullet & road accident casualties. Kuya Daniel Razon was in UNTV station then instructing or giving tips on the media men as they rescue in action.
From then on, the endeavor continues to reach out to people who are in the suffering from pain due to mishaps.

I have heard other news stations do the same today. They claim that they started the undertaking. The documented UNTV rescue in action can speak about it. Regardless who started, at the end of the day, the goal of this project continues to uplift the true sense of public service. UNTV media men search primarily not for news, but for people whom they can lend a helping hand.
More power to Kuya Daniel Razon and UNTV newsmen/rescue team!
