My thoughts on “A Song of Praise Music Festival 2012”

ASOP Grand Finals 2012 is one of the events that has left mark in me. It’s not the usual Araneta performances showcasing talents. It’s a night wherein composers, performers and viewers gathered together to listen to “Songs of Praise” and express gratitude to the Almighty.

Composers and performers have a common perspective on that night. They said that they were not after the prize. They are thankful for the opportunity of being part of the noble intention of this contest that is to generate more songs dedicated to the Most High.

Isn’t that wonderful that in the world where people are busy working, food trippin’, marrying, merrying, etc, there’s this event aiming to acknowledge God’s love and kindness.

People’s Choice: Jaime Enriquez’ “Pagibig ay Dios”

3rd runner-up: Rommel Arguelles’ “Reasons to Believe”

2nd runner-up: Domingo Rosco Jr.’s “Puso kong Nabuksan”

1st runner-up: Analyn Altejos’ “Purihin Ka Hanggang sa Kailanman”

Best Interpreter – Ms. Nikki Valdez

ASOPTV SONG OF THE YEAR 2012: Bro. Antonio Jr Estrella’s “Purihin Mo ang Dios, O Pilipinas”
